Borders To Close Two Scottsdale Stores

Borders booksellers is planning to close two stores in the city after filing for bankruptcy protection.

The company says it plans to shut the Waterfront store near Fashion Square in Downtown Scottsdale and the Scottsdale 101 store at 7000 E. Mayo Blvd.

The stores are expected to close by the end of April 2011.

Borders filed for Chapter 11 protection Wednesday and says it will close about 200 of its 642 stores nationwide in the coming weeks.
