Downtown Scottsdale Travel Warnings
  • Avoid Downtown Scottsdale at night. Chaparral Road on the north, Osborn Road to the south, Miller Road to the east and 68th Street to the west. Visit during daylight hours only.
  • Do not leave any valuables in cars at hotels & resorts. 
  • Remove automobile GPS unit and radar detector
  • Do not park your car in a parking garage in Downtown Scottsdale (day and night).

If a poisonous snake is located inside your Scottsdale home or garage, or at the entrance to your house, call the Scottsdale Fire Department’s non-emergency number at 480-312-8911. Keep an eye on the snake’s movement, as it cannot be relocated if it cannot be found.

If you or someone else is bitten by a poisonous snake, call 911 and seek medical attention immediately.

Snowmaking Starts At Sunrise

Sunrise Ski Resort officially started blowing snow for the 2011-12 ski season on Thursday, November 10, 2011, according to a statement posted on www.sunriseskipark.com.

An opening date has not yet been announced.
